What if my internet goes down during a live stream?

Beam keeps delivery moving while the agent reconnects, then backfills missed video. Short drops can pass without a viewer interruption.

Do I need special hardware or a new encoder?

No proprietary encoder is required. The current beta runs with OBS on Apple Silicon Macs using macOS 13 or newer.

How is this different from a regular YouTube or Facebook stream?

A regular stream sends only what arrives now. Beam adds recovery time and backfills gaps so delivery can stay continuous.

Beam is built for churches, nonprofits, and small broadcast teams that already use OBS and want more tolerance for brief internet interruptions.

How many broadcasts can run at once?

The controlled beta is currently provisioned for one live broadcast at a time. We coordinate beta tests to prevent overlap while multi-broadcast capacity is being built.
